Eitrheim multi-strain yeast originates from Reidar Eitrheim in Tokheim.
Flavor and Aroma: Predominantly apricot and peach, with secondary notes of orange and pineapple.
Fermentation Temperature: Eitrheim ferments well between 15 and 38°C and will ferment faster at higher temperatures.
Fermentation Time: At an optimal temperature of 31–35°C, fermentation can take up to 72 hours. When fermenting at low temperatures, you can expect the fermentation time to increase. For high gravity beers, we recommend adding two packets of yeast and adding yeast nutrients to ensure a healthy fermentation. Add the yeast directly to the wort by sprinkling it over the entire surface or rehydrate the yeast. If fermenting below 18°C or making high gravity beers, increase the pitching rate to 60 g/HL (grams per hectoliter).
