Refractometer
A refractometer is a must-have for every brewer. This model shows the standard density of sugar in water and the standard density of wort and, of course, Brix. A refractometer is an optical precision instrument that determines the density of a liquid by its refractive index. There is no need to convert Brix and SG to determine the density of wort or mash. Accurate yet easy to use: just drop a few drops of liquid onto the prism and the density will be read directly. Thanks to the automatic temperature compensation (ATC), there is no need to adjust the temperature.
When measuring during or after fermentation, the results must be corrected for the alcohol in the liquid using a computer program, website page, or mobile app.
Scale 0-32% Brix, reading 0.2%.
Scale 1,000-1,130 SG, reading 0.001
Scale 1,000-1,130 SG Sugar reading 0.001
Fast, accurate and reliable readings when brewing beer from malt are essential to achieving the best possible efficiency. Refractometers help achieve this and can significantly speed up brew day.
This high-quality refractometer is extremely accurate, easy to use and calibrate. Calibration is done simply by adding a few drops of distilled water. This model also features ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation).
