Chips are most commonly used in fermenting and aging wine, whiskey, and brewing beer. They are especially suitable for stronger beverages, as higher alcohol content helps to more effectively extract natural aromas and flavor compounds from the wood.

These toasted wood chips are the most popular choice among producers who use an alternative aging method. They allow achieving a similar result as barrel aging, but much faster and more conveniently than using wood cubes.

The chips are made only from high-quality oak, which is air-dried naturally for at least 24 months. After that, the wood is additionally dried, and the matured raw material is carefully shredded and toasted to develop rich aroma and flavor.

Such chips are perfect for aging wine, whiskey, and beer, adding depth to the beverages, with subtle notes of vanilla, caramel, or smoke – depending on the toasting level.
