Phosphoric acid 75%
75% phosphoric acid is a common ingredient in the brewing process. This acid can be used to acidify the wort (pH adjustment). Phosphoric acid helps to reduce the pH of the wort or wort to an optimal level for efficient enzyme activity and sugar extraction. It gives beer a good taste and is an additional source of phosphorus for yeast. The concentration of this acid is higher than, for example, lactic acid, so less of it is needed. Phosphoric acid can be used to disinfect the yeast before re-fermentation. It helps destroy unwanted bacteria and contaminants without harming the yeast.
