Hallertauer Mittelfrüher is the name of the original German Hallertau variety. This variety originated from an old German native variety and is one of the four original "noble" hop varieties. Their bitterness is mild and pleasant, making them perfect for many lagers, especially pilsners, as well as some Belgian ales.
