Unlike cheaper Sodastream cylinder adapters, this adapter has the added benefit of being able to use the side screw to depress the pin in the middle of the adapter. This pin adjustment makes the sodastream cylinder adapter much easier to use. Cheaper Sodastream adapters tend to pass gas every time you plug and unplug them from the regulator or the adapter itself. This is troubling. This new design of the sodastream adapter is a much better design with a convenient screw on the side of the unit that eliminates awkward adjustments and also allows you to turn the gas flow on and off.
