Viking Red Ale Malt is an aromatic malt rich in melanoidins. It is recommended for darker beers to enhance the pink color and aroma. A special malting program is used to ensure the right taste and aroma thanks to the controlled Maillard reaction.

Viking Red Ale Malt has a malty and bitter taste, but it also has roasted and nutty flavors that linger. Red Ale malt is also slightly sour. The amylolytic activity of Red Ale malt is low. Ideal for crafting specialty beers such as APA, IPA, Red Ale and Dark Lager. It is recommended to use up to 20%.
