Viking Rye is made from high quality rye. The malt production process is not much different from the production of pilsner malt. Rye malt gives the drink a characteristic aroma of rye and honey, reminiscent of a loaf of rye bread. Rye malt can be used in breweries for special rye beer, rye lager and rye beer (Roggenbier). Currently, more and more beers, even the IPA family, are made from rye malt. Malt gives a golden color and a typical rye taste. We recommend that the dosage of rye malt does not exceed 7% to avoid wort separation problems.
