American Wheat Ale is a light, refreshing, and clean wheat beer that combines the softness of wheat with a bright, citrusy, and tropical hop aroma (grapefruit, lime, orange, or herbal notes). The taste is typically dry and slightly grainy, lacking the banana or clove notes found in a Hefeweizen, while the bitterness remains mild (20–35 IBU). It is a summery, sessionable beer, perfect for hot days.

We recommend adding 5-6% rice hulls to the mash.
